Abstract:Res Gestae Divi Augusti, a famous inscription dated back to Ancient Rome, provides the leading glories of Augustus who wrote them by himself. Since it was found ， it has been regarded as the contemporary records of high value for the study of late Republic and early Empire of Rome. Based on T. Mommsen's texts, generations of scholars keep on with the study of this inscription in various subjects. The present study aims to offer a new Chinese version closer to the original text.
