提 要：本文首先指出东夷在上古部族分布范围中的特殊地理位置，以及东夷历史在华夏族形成过程中的积极意义。其次论述了周汉王朝统辖东夷地区所推行的政治措施，以及因政治地缘关系与东夷之间的交流往来，考量了郡县制与藩属朝贡制在东夷地区推行的变化与意义。再次，海外东夷之外，深入考察了淮泗东夷的渊源及徐偃王史迹的始末源流，指出徐偃王是研究周代徐国史的关键性中间环节，不容率意忽略。

Abstract:This paper firstly points out the special geographical position ofDongyi(东夷) in the map ofancient tribes, as well as the significance of the history of Dongyi in the formation procedure of Huaxia nationality. Secondly, it expounds the political and communicational measures of the Zhou and Han dynasties towardsDongyiand the change and significance of the county system and tribute system implemented inDongyiareas. Thirdly, in addition to dealing with the overseasDongyi, this paper

closely examines the origin of theDongyiin the Huaisi(淮泗) areas as well as the history of Prince Xu-yan. It is concluded that Prince Xu-yan is a key factor in the study of the Xu State of the Zhou dynasty.
