荀子对先秦儒家入仕观的新思考

提要：针对孔孟在入仕问题上的理想主义所引发的矛盾和困境，荀子提出了士人可以根据不同类型的君主采取相应的入仕策略等主张。荀子入仕观的现实主义取向拉近了儒家理想与现实的距离，也造成了儒家理想主义的缺失。

Re-thinking about the Confucian View of Taking Office

Abstract:Confucius and Mencius both took an

idealistic attitude towards the issue of taking public

office, which created many actual problems and dilemmas. In

order to solve these problems, Xun Zi suggested that

intellectuals might adapt themselves to different strategies

to take offices according to the categories of the different

lords. Xun Zi’s realistic attitude towards this issue

shortened the distance between Confucian ideas and reality.

Meanwhile, it led to a reduction of idealism from Confucian

mentality.
