提 要：古罗马-古代中国关系史是近年来中西交通史研究领域的热门话题之一，法国学者罗贝尔的《从罗马到中国》一书颇具代表性。但是该书的中译本却在翻译方面存在诸多问题，有理解及表达错误、知识性错误等，在很大程度上损害了原著所应有的学术价值。
